If you little one is under 20 weeks gestation you are not required to register the death with Births, Deaths and marriages.

We understand that you still want to honour, to remember and to reflect on this precious little life. Infant Funeral Care provide a number of options for cherishing your little one.

We understand that you still would like a certificate to commemorate your little one and honour their life. This is known as an early pregnancy loss certificate.

  • Hand and footprints – the hospital or funeral home can take hands and footprints of the baby for you, or you can have sculptures made by Twinkletoes
  • Photographs – Heartfelt is a volunteer organisation of professional photographers that provide photographic memories to families whose babies have passed away. They can be contacted on 1800 583 768.
  • Organise locks of hair.
  • Keep hospital bracelets, blankets, items of clothing, or toy (you may like to have these framed).
